Julián Castro Delivers Remarks at National Conferences, Presidential Forums Ahead of First Debates
SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 19, 2019) – On Thursday, June 20 - Saturday, June 22, presidential candidate and former U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary under President Obama and San Antonio Mayor, Julián Castro, will travel to Miami, Florida, Orlando, Florida and Columbia, South Carolina to deliver remarks at various national conferences and presidential forums ahead of his participation in the first round of the DNC Democratic primary debates on Wednesday, June 26.
On Thursday, June 20, Secretary Castro will travel to Orlando, Florida to deliver keynote remarks at the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Annual Conference on Immigration Law. On Friday, June 21, Secretary Castro will travel to Miami, Florida to deliver remarks at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials’ (NALEO) Presidential Forum. Following his remarks at the NALEO forum, Secretary Castro will travel to Columbia, South Carolina to attend the South Carolina Democratic Party’s (SCDP) Blue Palmetto Dinner, before attending Rep. Jim Clyburn’s World Famous Fish Fry. On Saturday, Secretary Castro will deliver remarks at the SCDP’s Annual Convention, and will speak at Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s “We Decide: 2020 Election Membership Forum.”
Following his travels to Orlando, Miami, and Columbia, Secretary Castro will return to Miami for the first DNC debate on Wednesday, June 26 from 9:00 PM ET - 11:00 PM ET.
