Elizabeth Warren to Travel to New Hampshire on February 22-23, 2019

Boston, MA - After declaring her candidacy for President of the United States, in Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren kicked off a seven-state organizing tour that took her to New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, and California. She will now return to New Hampshire to headline the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s 60th McIntyre-Shaheen 100 Club Dinner, which was founded by supporters of Senator John F. Kennedy in 1959 as an opportunity to support the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

Additionally, Warren will attend a house party in Laconia, host an organizing event in Plymouth, and join the New Hampshire Young Democrats for a meet and greet in Nashua.

Democratic Presidential Candidate to Make First Campaign Trip to Iowa Next Week

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 16, 2019) – Today, Democratic presidential candidate, and former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and San Antonio Mayor, Julián Castro, pledged to visit all 50 states during his campaign. Noting that as HUD Secretary he visited 40 states, providing him with a strong sense of the "issues most important to the people" he served, Castro pledged "When I'm President, everyone will count."

The campaign will engage with supporters via digital platforms to bring Secretary Castro to their states.

Secretary Castro has already traveled to Puerto Rico, along with several other states, including New Hampshire, California, Arizona, Florida and his home state of Texas. Next week, Secretary Castro will make his first trip as a declared candidate to Iowa.

California Governor Gavin Newsom endorsed Senator Kamala Harris for president in an interview Friday with Chris Hayes on MSNBC.

“I’m very enthusiastic about Kamala Harris. I’ll be endorsing her candidacy for president,” Newsom said. “I know her well, I’ve known her for decades. Not only as District Attorney, where she did an extraordinary job with a very progressive record, but I watched her up close as a Lieutenant Governor when she served as Attorney General, and I have the privilege of working with her as U.S. Senator. I think the American people could not do better.”

“Kamala Harris is a fearless fighter,” he added in a tweet. “A voice for the voiceless and vulnerable. From advancing equality to defending immigrant communities to expanding opportunity, she'll do what's right. Proud to endorse her for President.”

Newsom will join East Bay Congresswoman Barbara Lee and labor and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta to serve as California Co-Chairs for Harris’s campaign.

The governor of America’s most populous state, Newsom joins five Members of Congress from California in backing Harris’s candidacy: Nanette Barragan, Katie Hill, Ted Lieu, and Barbara Lee. She also has received the endorsements of 21 members of the California State Senate Democratic Caucus, including Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins. California’s early primary will be on March 3, 2020.

Dolores Huerta, an iconic civil rights and labor leader, is endorsing Senator Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. Huerta co-founded the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez and has dedicated her life to fighting for the rights of workers, immigrants, women and LGBTQ people. She joins Congresswoman Barbara Lee as a California Co-Chair of Harris’s campaign.

DES MOINES, IA – John Delaney announced a new endorsement today from Iowa’s Lucas County Democratic Party Chair and newly-elected Lucas County Caucus Chair Joan Amos. Chair Amos’ support continues a surge of early endorsements from three Iowa Democratic County Chairs in counties spanning the state.

Senator Kamala Harris will make her second trip to Iowa as a Democratic presidential candidate February 23-24, where she will hold town hall meetings in Ankeny and Scott County, speak at an event hosted by the Iowa Democratic Party Black Caucus, and participate in several community conversations. This trip will be another opportunity for Iowans to hear directly from Harris about her vision for America and ask her questions about important issues.

On Saturday evening, Harris will keynote an Iowa Democratic Party Black Caucus event. In the evening in Cedar Rapids, she will participate in an event moderated by the hosts of Political Party Live, a local podcast hosted by Iowa Democrats with a live audience.

Harris recently announced additional staff dedicated to Iowa as she ramps up her operation ahead of the caucuses. Harris’s Iowa visit will be the third of four trips to important early states this month. She visited South Carolina this past weekend, and will travel to New Hampshire February 18-19 and Nevada February 28-March 1.
