25 Granite State Leaders Endorse Senator Amy Klobuchar

MANCHESTER, NH — Today, 25 Granite State leaders representing all 10 counties across New Hampshire endorsed Senator Amy Klobuchar for President. The leaders, who include eight current and former State Representatives and multiple key community activists, show Klobuchar’s surging grassroots support before Tuesday’s primary.

“Granite State leaders are lining up behind Senator Amy Klobuchar because they know that she understands the daily struggles of Americans in their communities,” said Amy For America New Hampshire State Director Scott Merrick. “These new endorsers, who come from a wide variety of towns across the state, recognize that Amy sees the obstacles that face urban and rural communities and will work hard to make life better for everyone. They know that Amy will win by bringing all Americans together, and govern by lifting all Americans up.”

The endorsements follow a winning debate performance, a third place finish in two new polls, and raising $3 million in fundraising since Friday’s Democratic debate. Yesterday, Klobuchar drew packed crowds in Manchester and Salem, and more than 1,100 people in Nashua.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (U.S. Rep, Hawaii) was endorsed by Kris Roberts, a veteran of the Vietnam War and a former New Hampshire state representative. Roberts served in the Marines for 26 years, and he was the first black committee chairman in the New Hampshire legislature, where he supervised veterans' affairs. Roberts was a member of the New Hampshire veterans' steering committee for the Obama campaign in 2008.

“My vote is very important to me,” said Roberts. “If a candidate wants my vote, he or she must earn it. Tulsi Gabbard has earned my vote. Governor Patrick just wrapped up a six-day New Hampshire bus tour with over 20 events in more than a dozen towns that included a meeting with the Nashua Democrats on Monday. Since announcing for president, Governor Patrick has spent more time and held more events in New Hampshire than any candidate in this race. He has also been endorsed by State Senator David Watters of Dover.

MANCHESTER — Former New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Commissioner Tom Burack and New Hampshire Rep. Gary Woods today endorsed Michael Bennet for president of the United States. Burack, who grew up in Jackson and has resided for the past 20 years in Hopkinton, is an attorney and consultant with the firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green, and served as Commissioner from 2006 to 2017. Rep. Woods, a former orthopedic surgeon, has represented the Merrimack 23 district since 2018. He serves on the Committee on Health, Human Services, and Elderly Affairs.

America’s Climate Change Plan was the first policy Bennet released upon entering the presidential primary race. His plan, which includes paying farmers and landowners to sequester carbon in their trees and soil, draws on a decade of service on the Senate Agriculture Committee. Earlier this month, Bennet toured the Fox State Forest in Hillsborough with the New Hampshire Timberland Owners' Association.

Bennet’s New Hampshire endorsements range from Southern New Hampshire University President Paul LeBlanc to Representatives Michael Cahill, Marjorie Smith, Bob Backus, David Luneau, Joyce Fulweiler, and Sherry Dutzy to Former Concord School Board Chairs Claudia Damon and David Ruedig to Former Gov. Hassan Legal Counsel Lucy Hodder.

Bennet represents Colorado in the Senate, but he has not spent a lifetime in politics. He turned around failing businesses in the private sector and improved outcomes for kids as superintendent of the Denver Public Schools. Bennet is the only candidate in this race who has won two elections in a swing state.
