DES MOINES – Today the Iowa Democratic Party announced it will be hosting its annual Fall Dinner on Friday, November 1 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA.

Iowa Democratic Party Chair said, “We’re excited to announce our annual dinner earlier than ever before. DES MOINES, IOWA — Today Beto O’Rourke’s campaign in Iowa announced the endorsement of Lou McDonald, Polk County Soil and Water District Commissioner.

“I walked into Beto’s town hall undecided on Tuesday night — and I walked out ready to support him as the next President of the United States. He shares Iowans’ stories with the compassion we need, and I was very impressed with his answer on conservation, agriculture, and how we work together to solve these crises facing us,” said McDonald.

The endorsement comes after Beto O’Rourke’s CNN Townhall held at Drake University in Des Moines, which was part of O’Rourke’s fourth trip to the Hawkeye State. He spent three days traveling across Iowa where he toured flood damage in Davenport and had conversations with Iowans in Davenport and Tipton about how we fight the effects of climate change, uphold women’s reproductive rights, and keep our families safe from our nation’s gun violence epidemic.

With 67 town halls and 36 counties visited thus far, O’Rourke has visited the most counties in Iowa of any other presidential candidate this cycle to meet with, listen to, and learn from Iowans in every corner of the state.

Des Moines, IA – Today, Steve Bullock for President announced the hiring of a 10-person organizing operation in Iowa to engage caucusgoers across the state. With these hires, Bullock for President will have 14 staffers on the ground and is one of the only presidential campaigns that launched with a fully deployed, grassroots, digitally-integrated organizing program in Iowa.

Governor Bullock’s investments in his on-the-ground operation highlight the campaign’s commitment to build an extensive network of organizers all across Iowa – a commitment that will continue to scale over the coming months.

Trip follows major organizing push to triple staff and host first statewide Weekend of Action

DES MOINES, IOWA — Beto and Amy O’Rourke will make their first joint trip to Iowa this week from Friday, June 7 to Monday, June 10. This will be Beto’s fifth visit to the Hawkeye State as he grows his grassroots campaign in Iowa and across the United States. The four-day visit follows the announcement that the campaign nearly tripled the size of its Iowa team and now has 37 organizing staff in every region and 44 Iowa staff overall.

O’Rourke has already done 67 town halls and other events in 36 counties across Iowa — the most of any candidate in the field this cycle. He’s held town halls in small towns and big cities, policy roundtables, and house parties in a variety of areas across the state -- including counties that went for President Obama but flipped to President Trump, Democratic strongholds, and conservative rural Iowa.

Since launching his candidacy for President of the United States in March, O’Rourke has hosted 155 events with tens of thousands of Americans in 118 cities across 15 states and the District of Columbia. He has personally driven over 6,150 miles as his grassroots campaign has criss-crossed the United States answering more than 1,000 questions from voters.
