Nebraska Leaders Applaud Joe Biden’s Selection of Kamala Harris as Running Mate
Today, Joe Biden announced Kamala Harris as his running mate. Leaders from across Nebraska applauded the selection:
"Senator Harris is a battle-tested leader who has demonstrated she can inspire Americans to commit to making our country stronger, healthier and more just,” said former Senator Bob Kerrey. “I'm confident she will be a terrific partner for Joe Biden in the White House.”
“What a historic day for our country: Kamala Harris will be the first woman of color on a major party ticket,” said State Senator Justin T. Wayne. “Senator Harris has proven herself to be a bold, courageous leader who will be ready to lead on Day 1. I’m confident that in the White House, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will fight for us.”
“I'm thrilled Joe Biden has made history by choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate,” said State Senator Megan Hunt. “Senator Harris is a talented and pragmatic progressive leader who has a strong record of holding elected officials accountable, fighting corruption, and advocating for the most vulnerable Americans.
