Trump Campaign Announces Launch of ‘Catholics for Trump’ Ahead of the 2020 Election
Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. today hosted an online broadcast launching Catholics for Trump, a coalition dedicated to recruiting and activating the Catholic community in support of President Trump’s bid for re-election. Catholics for Trump will actively promote the President’s mission to Keep America Great and his record of ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ through continued victories in pro-life issues, judicial appointments, and religious freedom.
"Through his pro-life policies, his judicial appointments, and his fight for religious freedom, President Trump is our country’s most staunch defender of the Catholic faith,” said Mercedes Schlapp, Trump 2020 Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications. “We are focused on energizing, engaging and activating the Catholic community to support President Trump who has kept his promises and strongly leads our nation during this difficult time. Let’s remember that Senator Joe Biden and his Democrat colleagues are extreme on abortion and will not protect religious liberties."
The Catholics for Trump Advisory Board includes renowned leaders of the Catholic faith and influential community leaders.
Leading the Coalition Advisory Board as co-chairs are: Matt Schlapp of Virginia, Speaker Newt Gingrich of Virginia, and Mary Matalin of Louisiana.
