Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Pramila Jayapal to Hold Rally in Washington State
WASHINGTON – On the heels of his victory in the New Hampshire Primary, Sen. Bernie Sanders will head to Tacoma on Monday to hold a rally with Rep. Pramila Jayapal. This will be Sanders' first visit to Washington during the 2020 campaign. Sanders has broad support across Washington. Since the launch of his campaign, he has raised nearly $6 million from Washingtonians, and the campaign and their volunteers have held over 1,100 events across the state.
Rep. Jayapal is the Washington State Chair and Health Policy Chair for Bernie 2020. She represents Washington’s Seventh Congressional District, which encompasses most of Seattle and surrounding areas, including Vashon Island, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds and parts of Burien, Shoreline and Normandy Park. She is also Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
