Republican Party of Minnesota (MNGOP) Statement on Impeachment Vote
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement regarding today's impeachment vote:
"Today, Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives put partisan politics ahead of the future of this country through their vote to impeach President Donald Trump. While it has been clear that impeaching the President has been the Democrats' goal since day 1, it is disappointing they would rather further divide this nation than work to better the lives of American families.
"Unfortunately, Reps. Angie Craig and Dean Phillips followed in the footsteps of Ilhan Omar, Nancy Pelosi and their fellow radical colleagues on this vote. Craig and Phillips's decision to ignore their constituents and vote to impeach the President has sealed their fate as one-term Members of Congress. November 2020 is not far away and voters will remember."
