MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement regarding new staff positions at the MNGOP announced at today's State Central Committee Meeting:

"We are excited to announce the appointment of Carleton Crawford as the new Deputy Chair for the Republican Party of Minnesota. Carleton has extensive experience serving the organization in different capacities, including serving as the CD5 Chair from 2005-2011. We look forward to welcoming Carleton in this new role as we head towards the 2020 election.

"I am also pleased to announce that we have officially moved Becky Alery into the Executive Director Role. Becky will continue to lead our communications strategy as well as overseeing party staff efforts and helping to implement the strategy that will turn Minnesota red in 2020.

"Additionally, we shared the hiring of Spencer Krier as our new Operations Manager. Spencer has worked at the state legislature, within the 1st Congressional District board and helped with campaigns throughout the state. He will lead the party's Caucus operations and BPOU outreach to ensure we are building the team that will lead to a successful November election."

Iowa State Senator Todd Taylor Endorses Amy Klobuchar for President

DES MOINES, IA — Iowa State Senator Todd Taylor today endorsed Senator Amy Klobuchar for president, her second Hawkeye state legislative endorsement this week. In announcing his support, Taylor cited Klobuchar’s pragmatic approach to governing and strong support of organized labor.

“As the product of a union family, Amy understands the importance of the labor movement and the need to restore the dignity of work in this country,” said State Senator Todd Taylor. “As President, I know she’ll fight for new protections for America’s workers. She reaches out to voters of all backgrounds and knows how to build consensus to make a real difference in the lives of working Americans. I believe she is the right candidate to lead our ticket to victory next year and I’m proud to support her campaign.”

Taylor, a long-time champion for strong unions and labor protections in the Hawkeye state, became a member of the Iowa Senate earlier this year and had served in the State House since 1995. He currently serves as the Ranking Member of the Iowa Senate’s Labor Committee.

His announcement comes as Klobuchar completes her 25th trip to Iowa as a presidential candidate and visits her 70th of the state’s 99 counties today. To date, Klobuchar has the support of more current and former Iowa legislators than any other candidate in the race.

MANCHESTER - U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders will return to New Hampshire on Friday, December 13 to visit college campuses and speak with students and young voters ahead of the primary on February 11th. He will be joined by Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Today, Andrew Yang announced the addition of two senior Democratic campaign professionals to spearhead the campaign’s digital and direct mail operations. Julia Rosen, Partner at Fireside Campaigns, will helm the planning and execution of the campaign’s already robust digital strategy. Ally Letsky, Senior Vice President and Strategist at Deliver Strategies and former Hillary for America Direct Mail Director will lead the campaign’s direct mail efforts.

“While other campaigns are scaling back or trying to sustain their current levels, our campaign is rapidly growing and adding experience and know-how to ensure that we peak at the right time. Letsky has worked in Democratic politics since 2004 and brings a decade of experience in direct mail, campaign messaging, and the modern application of paid media strategy. In this new political environment, Letsky specializes in creating more authentic conversations using direct mail while seamlessly integrating mail with digital, field, and TV ads. In 2012, she was part of the direct mail team that helped President Barack Obama win in some of the toughest battleground states in the Midwest. Letsky led millions of dollars in direct mail testing and the largest direct mail program as the Director of Direct Mail for Hillary for America in 2016. She has produced winning direct mail campaigns for Democrats of all levels, from school board and state legislative races to congressional, gubernatorial, and U.S. senate races.
