Cory Booker Returns to Nevada To Highlight Diversity Of Party And Coalition Needed To Beat Trump
Campaign to Launch Nevada’s AAPIs for Cory Program *Updated
Las Vegas, NV — Cory Booker will travel to Las Vegas for his tenth visit to the state on Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19 to highlight the diversity of the party and the broad coalition needed to beat Trump. Nevada is the first state in the West to vote and reflects the diversity of the Democratic party.
During the visit, Cory will be meeting with Latinx community leaders for a roundtable discussion in East Las Vegas hosted by Mi Familia Vota and hold a Conversation with Cory in North Las Vegas. Cory for Nevada will launch Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) for Cory at their inaugural Tagalog caucus training and host a Boba with Booker event with young AAPI community leaders. AAPIs are the fastest-growing group in southern Nevada with Filipino’s comprising more than half of Clark County’s AAPI population.
On Thursday morning, Cory will be attending a community service event at Three Square Food Bank.
Since launching his campaign, Cory Booker has visited the state nine times as a candidate and has seen an outpouring of support and endorsements from over 70 community leaders including the Clark County Black Caucus, former North Las Vegas City Councilman and Mayor pro Tem Theron Goynes, the former president of Reno-Sparks NAACP, Nevada Young Dems President, AAPI leaders, immigration activists and local grassroots volunteers.
