Charlestown, MA - Elizabeth Warren will make two visits to Iowa before and after the Thanksgiving holiday. She will visit the Des Moines metro area on November 25 and 26, with events in Ankeny, Altoona, West Des Moines and Knoxville. She’ll return for additional events in Waterloo, Marion and Iowa City on December 1 and 2.

Ms. Williamson will be hosting several events beginning with her first event in Nebraska at the Unity Church of Omaha, on Sunday, November 17. United Farm Workers Endorse Kamala Harris for President

UFW endorses Kamala Harris, citing her ‘fight for equal treatment and protection of farm workers’ & ‘bold leadership’ on immigration

United Farm Workers President Teresa Romero issued the following statement from the California Democratic Party Endorsing Convention in Long Beach where the UFW endorsement of U.S. Senator Kamala Harris for president was announced:

After elected farm worker leaders from companies under United Farm Workers’ contracts personally heard from Senator Harris and other presidential candidates with histories of supporting the UFW, they and the union’s National Executive Board overwhelmingly voted to endorse Kamala Harris for president. They are inspired by her vision of a just and inclusive America, her personal story and the confidence and strength she has shown in the face of attacks from Donald Trump.

Senator Harris has the longest history of working directly with the UFW. She led the fight for equal treatment and protection of farm workers. She is author of the federal bill providing overtime pay after eight hours a day for America’s farm workers. She lobbied the governor to sign California’s landmark law in 2016 providing phased-in overtime and to strengthen the state rules preventing worker deaths and illnesses from extreme heat. She has joined farm worker marches and the 2016 UFW convention.

We also support Senator Harris because of her bold leadership on immigrant rights, from championing genuine immigration reform to voting against funding for Trump’s cruel and useless wall.

We are grateful to the other leading contenders who choose to spend time with UFW members. Each of them offered positive visions that are better alternatives than Trump. But we believe Kamala Harris is the best choice.

Three-day swing to highlight Sanders’ longtime commitment to workers’ rights and organized labor

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sen. Bernie Sanders will return to New Hampshire from November 23rd to the 25th for a Worker Appreciation tour. The Senator has a long history of fighting for union members and working families, as emphasized in his Workplace Democracy Plan which aims to restore workers’ rights to bargain for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. Most recently in the Granite State, Sen. Sanders participated in a rally for nursing home workers in Brentwood seeking to organize with SEA-SEIU Local 1984.

The weekend’s events will showcase the importance of workers’ rights and show appreciation for the labor community. The highlight of the swing will be a Labor Solidarity Dinner for union members hosted by Sen. Sanders, featuring a speaking program, dinner, music, and dancing.

“Senator Sanders has stood up for workers long before he ran for president,” NH Labor for Bernie Co-Chair Janice Kelble added. “His policies will strengthen the voice of working people. I’m looking forward to an evening of solidarity with the Granite State labor community.”

New Hampshire for Bernie Senior Labor Advisor and NH AFL-CIO President Emeritus Mark McKenzie said, “Bernie Sanders understands the importance of solidarity and has spent a lifetime standing up and fighting for the interests of working families of our country.”

Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is kicking off his presidential campaign with a cross-country trip to California and the early states.

After beginning his campaign in New Hampshire, he will attend the California Democratic Party 2019 Fall Endorsing Convention today, November 16. Gov. Patrick will speak at 10:50AM this morning.

On Sunday, November 17, Gov. Patrick will appear on Meet The Press. He will attend the Nevada Democrats’ “First In The West” event in Las Vegas later in the day. He is scheduled to deliver remarks to Nevada Democrats at 10:15PM.

On Monday, November 18, he will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he will join Sen. Robert Hogg for a Climate and Flood Resistance Tour at 1:45PM 2:30PM, starting at the corner of A Street SW and 16th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids.

Later on Monday, Gov. Patrick will speak at 7:30pm in Des Moines at the Polk County Democrats’ monthly meeting. The meeting will take place at Polk County River Place, 2309 Euclid Ave in Des Moines.

Patrick will then travel to South Carolina on Tuesday.

In addition to supporters and volunteers, attending with Cory Booker will be his mother and Las Vegas resident Carolyn Booker, North Las Vegas City Councilwoman Pamela Goynes Brown and her husband Romero Brown, educator and community leader Naomi Goynes, and NAACP Las Vegas Vice President Andrea Woods.

Naomi and her husband Theron Goynes endorsed Cory for president earlier this year and are longtime leaders in the North Las Vegas community and strong education advocates.

Since launching his campaign, Cory Booker has visited the state eight times as a candidate and held over two dozen events in both northern and southern Nevada, including Boulder City and Minden, where he became the first candidate to visit rural Nevada and was one of the first candidates to participate in a virtual meet and greet with over 200 rural Nevadans. Booker has built a strong operation in Nevada with experienced state staff with deep community roots.
