Michael Bennet to Tour Flood Damage, Meet Educators and Caucusgoers in Western Iowa Swing
DENVER — Michael Bennet will return to western Iowa this Friday and Saturday to tour flood-damaged areas in Pottawattamie County and discuss his climate plan, as well as meet with educators and caucusgoers in Sioux City.
Bennet, who has served on the Senate Agriculture Committee for 10 years, released his farmer-focused climate plan in Iowa this May, just days after he announced his candidacy for president. As the first former school superintendent to ever run for president, he has attracted support from educators across the country. Bennet for America released a list of 75 educator endorsements earlier this week, including nine Iowans.
