Cory for Nevada Announces Special Guests to Nevada Democrats’ First in the West Reception
Guests include prominent leaders in the Las Vegas African American Community
Las Vegas, NV — Today, Cory for Nevada announced their special guests for the Nevada State Democratic Party’s First in the West event.
In addition to supporters and volunteers, attending with Cory Booker will be his mother and Las Vegas resident Carolyn Booker, North Las Vegas City Councilwoman Pamela Goynes Brown and her husband Romero Brown, educator and community leader Naomi Goynes, and NAACP Las Vegas Vice President Andrea Woods.
Naomi and her husband Theron Goynes endorsed Cory for president earlier this year and are longtime leaders in the North Las Vegas community and strong education advocates.
Since launching his campaign, Cory Booker has visited the state eight times as a candidate and held over two dozen events in both northern and southern Nevada, including Boulder City and Minden, where he became the first candidate to visit rural Nevada and was one of the first candidates to participate in a virtual meet and greet with over 200 rural Nevadans. Booker has built a strong operation in Nevada with experienced state staff with deep community roots. Booker has earned the endorsement of over 60 community leaders including the former president of Reno-Sparks NAACP, Nevada Young Dems President, AAPI leaders, immigration activists and local grassroots volunteers.
