
Senator Amy Klobuchar To Speak At National Action Network Conference and Join Fair Fight Action For Phone And Text Bank in Atlanta Tomorrow
ATLANTA, GA — On Thursday, November 21, the morning following the fifth Democratic debate, Senator Amy Klobuchar will join Reverend Al Sharpton, members of the National Action Network (NAN) and community leaders for NAN’s Southeast Regional Conference in Atlanta. At Paschal’s Restaurant, Sen. Klobuchar will offer remarks and discuss her positive economic agenda for the country that includes economic empowerment for all Americans.
Senator Klobuchar will then join Fair Fight Action for a phone and text bank to notify voters and assist them in staying on the voter rolls. On Monday, ahead of a democracy and voting rights roundtable in Atlanta, Senator Klobuchar released her plan to safeguard our elections, strengthen our democracy and restore trust in government.
As President, Senator Klobuchar will champion a major voting rights and democracy reform package and she has already pledged that the For the People Act — legislation that has thirteen of Senator Klobuchar’s legislative provisions — will be the first bill she sends to Congress as President.
