Michael Bennet to Visit New Hampshire Next Week: Health Care, Education & Town Hall Events

DENVER — Michael Bennet will return to New Hampshire next week for his eighth trip to the Granite State. He will hold a series of public town halls, participate in health policy roundtables, and visit high school and college campuses. He will discuss his plans to establish a public option and, as a former school superintendent, transform our education system to create more opportunity for every kid in this country.

During his most recent visit to the state, Gary Hart endorsed Bennet at the New Hampshire Democratic Party State Convention. Hart won an insurgent victory in New Hampshire during the 1984 Democratic presidential primary, and made the case that Bennet is the dark horse who will do the same.

Steyer credits people — not politicians — for mobilizing to impeach Donald Trump

(SAN FRANCISCO, October 2, 2019) — Today, presidential candidate for the Democratic nomination Tom Steyer launched “Together,” a new ad which highlights the mobilization of eight million Americans who joined the impeachment movement to demand action from their elected officials and hold Donald Trump accountable for the crimes he has committed.

Steyer called for impeachment on June 9, 2017. He is the first 2020 candidate to call for Donald Trump’s impeachment. Nearly two years ago he launched Need to Impeach, a grassroots movement with over 8.3 million supporters dedicated to holding Trump accountable for his crimes.

The ad will air on digital platforms starting today and on cable television in the early primary states next week, as Steyer is set to appear on the Ohio debate stage for the first time on October 15.

Steyer is also well on his way to making the debate stage in November, already surpassing the donor threshold requirement and receiving three qualifying polls in the last week.

Today, the DNC, CNN, and The New York Times announced that 12 candidates have been invited to participate in the fourth Democratic presidential primary debate. Each candidate was invited based on qualification criteria agreed to by the DNC, CNN, and The New York Times that were announced in May 2019.

The debate will stream live in its entirety, without requiring log-in to a cable provider, exclusively to CNN.com’s and NYTimes.com’s homepage, across mobile devices via CNN’s and The New York Times’s apps for iOS and Android, and via CNNgo apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast and Android TV. The full debate will be available exclusively the day following the airing on demand via cable/satellite systems, on CNNgo (at CNN.com/go on your desktop, smartphone, and tablets, and via CNNgo OTT apps), and CNN mobile apps on iOS and Android. Booker earns field-leading 85th New Hampshire endorsement

Manchester, NH — New Hampshire State Representative Christy Bartlett (Concord), a four-term legislator and advocate for women’s reproductive rights, today endorsed Cory Booker for president, saying she agrees with his core values and beliefs. Bartlett decided to back Booker after watching his passionate remarks at the New Hampshire convention last month and seeing him last Thursday at Politics & Eggs, where he earned two rare standing ovations at the typically staid event.

“After years of Trump’s division, we need a nominee who will work to bring together and heal our country and our world, which is why I’m endorsing Cory Booker for president,” said State Rep. Christy Bartlett. “He will work to repair the damage of the last few years and make progress on the issues working families in New Hampshire care about most. Bartlett represents Concord Ward 10 and is serving her fourth term. In the State House, she has focused on protecting access to safe, legal abortion; expanding Medicaid; raising the minimum wage to a living wage for New Hampshire workers; and increasing funding to combat the opioid crisis.

Bartlett is the latest state elected official to back Booker in the 2020 primary. Booker has earned a total of 85 Granite State endorsements -- more than any other 2020 candidate -- including three state senators, 15 state representatives and the state’s longest-serving mayor.

This endorsement comes on the heels of Booker’s latest visit to New Hampshire and after Booker raised more money in the third quarter than in the previous two quarters. Booker exceeded his goal of raising $1.7 million over the final ten days of September -- the campaign raised $2.1 million over that period -- and now has the resources to grow the campaign in New Hampshire and in other early-voting states.
