Michael Bennet to Bring Bold, Pragmatic Vision to “Obama-Trump” Iowa Counties
DENVER — Michael Bennet will return to Iowa this weekend to continue meeting with caucusgoers from counties that voted twice for Barack Obama and then for Donald Trump. Bennet will meet with caucusgoers in Clinton, Muscatine, and Cerro Gordo counties, while also delivering labor-focused remarks at the UFCW Presidential Forum in Altoona.
Bennet, whose home state of Colorado is an even mix of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, has focused his efforts on winning back voters who left the Democratic Party in 2016 and who are critical for taking the White House and Senate and holding the House in 2020.
