Secretary Julián Castro Returns to Nevada to Speak to NOW, Visit Broadacres Marketplace *Updated
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 16, 2019) – Presidential candidate and former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julián Castro, will return to Nevada this weekend to speak to members of the Las Vegas chapter of the National Organization for Women, attend a house party in East Las Vegas, and join community members at Broadacres Marketplace.
This is Secretary Castro’s tenth trip to Nevada since announcing his candidacy in January and his first since Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate.
Secretary Castro will attend a house party in East Las Vegas on Saturday, October 19.
On Sunday, October 20, he will speak to the Las Vegas chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and join community members and leaders to tour the Broadacres Marketplace, where he will meet local Latino small business owners.
