SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 22, 2019) – On Wednesday and Thursday, presidential candidate, former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julián Castro will return to Iowa for a town hall on criminal justice in Waterloo, for a meet-and-greet at the University of Northern Iowa, for the LULAC Presidential Town Hall, and to campaign with Des Moines City Council candidate Chelsea Chism-Vargas.
On Wednesday, Secretary Castro will highlight his criminal justice plans during a town hall in Waterloo.
In Cedar Falls on Thursday, he will meet with students and community members at the University of Northern Iowa before endorsing Chism-Vargas at a canvass kickoff in Des Moines. He will participate in the LULAC Presidential Town Hall in Des Moines on Thursday evening.
