Bernie Sanders and Ilhan Omar to Hold Rally in Minneapolis on Sunday, November 3, 2019
WASHINGTON – Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ilhan Omar will hold a rally at the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis on Sunday, November 3rd.
Sanders and Omar, together with local leaders and activists, will rally to unite supporters of all backgrounds around the fight for economic, environmental and racial justice, and need to take on corporate greed and the corruption of Donald Trump.
New Power Generation to Perform at Rally with Bernie Sanders and Ilhan Omar in Minneapolis
WASHINGTON – Minnesota's own New Power Generation will join Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ilhan Omar on Sunday, November 3rd at their rally in Minneapolis.
New Power Generation (NPG) was Prince's longtime band, starting with the Diamonds and Pearls and Love Symbol albums, touring and recording with Prince for over two decades. NPG formally got back together in 2016 in tribute to the late musician, and their appearance at the Bernie 2020 rally on Sunday marks a rare occasion in which the band will reunite to perform part of its “Celebrating Prince” show. A special guest performance by Prince's childhood friend and musical collaborator, Andre Cymone, is also planned.Here are the details:
