Michael Bennet Returns to Iowa to Meet with Hard-working Americans, Highlight Trump’s Failed Leadership
DENVER — Michael Bennet will return to Iowa this week to meet Iowans who are working hard to earn a living wage and support their families. Bennet knows most Americans aren’t yet tuned into this election, and these are the people who need us to end politics as usual and make progress the most. The Trump Administration has only made matters worse: cutting investments, slapping on tariffs, and giving tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans.
As the Des Moines Register wrote, Bennet is “pounding truth into the campaign,” putting forward ideas that address the real priorities of Iowans and Americans, like a public health insurance option, free preschool for every kid, and a comprehensive approach to reimagine high schools and training programs.
Bennet will spend Thursday evening in Iowa meeting with workers. On Friday, he will tour a biorefinery with former Governor of Iowa Tom Vilsack.
