Bennet to “Pound Some Truth” Into the Campaign in Steak Fry Remarks
DENVER — Michael Bennet will return to Iowa this weekend to meet caucusgoers at the Polk County Steak Fry. This weekend marks Bennet’s fourth trip to the state in September, after releasing his first two television ads in Iowa this week. According to Radio Iowa, no other candidate has spent more time in Iowa this month.
On Friday, Bennet will hold an event with former Governor of Iowa Tom Vilsack and students at Central Campus to discuss how President Trump’s policies have proven disastrous for agriculture in Iowa.
On Saturday, Bennet will continue to “pound some truth” into the campaign, as the Des Moines Register editorial board described, in his remarks at the Steak Fry.
On Sunday, he will participate in a youth town hall to discuss his vision for the future with local high school and college students.
