Kamala Harris to Return to South Carolina September 21 and 22, 2019 **Updated
On September 21 and 22, Kamala Harris will return to South Carolina where she will be the keynote speaker at the Charleston NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner. Harris will also hold a meet and greet in Berkeley County where she will discuss her 3AM agenda for working families.
Harris will attend church services at Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston where she will give brief remarks on Sunday morning.
This will be Harris’ tenth trip to South Carolina as a presidential candidate. In addition to attending Congressman Clyburn’s World Famous Fish Fry and speaking at the SCDP convention, she has previously held town halls and meet and greets in several locations across the state including Anderson, Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Greenville, Hartsville, Hemingway, Holly Hill, Myrtle Beach, Orangeburg, Rock Hill, St. George, and Spartanburg. She also visited several women-owned businesses, stopped by Rodney Scott’s BBQ for lunch, gave the keynote address at the Columbia NAACP Freedom Fund dinner, participated in the Planned Parenthood Action forum on reproductive rights, addressed the Charleston Black Expo, and attended the Pink Ice Gala with her fellow AKAs in Columbia. Harris has also attended church services in South Carolina in Columbia and Florence.
