Kamala Harris to Campaign in Iowa September 19-21, 2019 **Updated
Harris will visit Coralville, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Polk County
Senator Kamala Harris will return to Iowa Thursday, September 19, Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21 for campaign events across eastern and central Iowa.
On Thursday, Harris will host a meet and greet in Coralville followed by an evening town hall in Cedar Rapids. On Friday, she will participate in a town hall in Waterloo, a campus event in Cedar Falls at the University of Northern Iowa, and the LGBTQ Presidential Candidate Forum at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
On Saturday, Harris will attend the Polk County Democratic Party’s annual Steak Fry. Ahead of the Steak Fry, Harris will rally supporters and they will march to the Steak Fry together.
Last month, Harris traveled River-to-River on a 5-day bus tour, talking to Iowans about her 3AM Agenda to tackle the real problems that keep them up at night. And earlier in August, the Harris campaign in Iowa relaunched its campus organizing program in correlation with welcome week on Iowa’s major campuses and launched a high school volunteer leadership program. The campaign is engaging with students across the state, recognizing the important role they have in this election, tabling on campus to share information about Kamala Harris, hosting campus caucus trainings, and joining major campus events. “Students for Kamala” now has individual chapters at various campuses, including “Hawkeyes for Harris,” “Bulldogs For the People,” “Cyclone Students for Kamala,” “Panthers for Harris,” among others.
