Julián Castro to Participate in ABC/Univision Democratic Debate on Thursday, September 12, 2019
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 11, 2019) – Tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, presidential candidate and former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julián Castro, will participate in the third Democratic presidential primary debate, hosted ABC News in partnership with Univision. Secretary Castro will take the stage at Texas Southern University in Houston at 7pm CT.
Secretary Castro is one of only ten presidential candidates to qualify for the September primary debate. Earlier this week, Secretary Castro hosted a pre-debate rally in Houston and received endorsements from former Texas State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, Houston Controller Chris Brown, and Texas State Representative Christina Morales.
