ANDREW YANG MEETS DONOR REQUIREMENT FOR THIRD AND FOURTH DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY DEBATES.
New York, NY — Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang has met the individual donor requirements to qualify for the 3rd and 4th Democratic primary debates.
In May, the DNC announced that ABC News, in partnership with Univision, would host the third debate. To qualify for the September event candidates are required to hit 2 percent in four qualifying polls instead of 1 percent in three polls for the first debates. They are also required to hit 130,000 individual donors, up from 65,000 for the first round, and 400 unique donors from 20 states. Yang crossed both goal lines for donors on Sunday.
In a quote, Campaign Manager Zach Graumann said:
“This campaign has continued to beat every seasoned politico’s best expectations and I couldn’t be more proud of our team. We have hit this number before sitting Senators and Governors without the backing of the establishment in Washington. Andrew will be on that stage because his supporters won’t take no for an answer. Plain and simple."
