SENATOR GILLIBRAND ANNOUNCES SEVEN DEBATE WATCH PARTIES ACROSS IOWA
This Thursday, Senator Gillibrand’s campaign will host seven watch parties across Iowa with supporters and caucus-goers for the first round of the 2020 presidential debates.
Debate watch parties will be held at the Blazing Saddle in Des Moines and at Studio 13 in Iowa City, two prominent LGBTQ bars in Iowa. Additional watch parties will be held in Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Council Bluffs, Keokuk and Dubuque.
Senator Gillibrand has visited the Blazing Saddle twice in her travels to Iowa, earning the support of Vana B. Rosenberg, a drag queen who she swapped dresses with during an April visit. The Iowa City watch party will be hosted by Kyla Paterson, a LGBTQ activist and current chair of the Iowa Democrats’ Stonewall Caucus, who endorsed Senator Gillibrand in her first visit to Iowa.
