Jay Inslee to Tour Solar Company, Join Roundtable on Paid Family Leave and Hold Televised Town Hall
Inslee will discuss climate debate, moving to 100% clean energy, and paid family and medical leave with Granite State voters
Seattle – Governor Jay Inslee will return to New Hampshire tomorrow on his “Climate Mission Tour” to speak out on the need for a climate change debate, advocate for paid family and medical leave protections, answer questions from New Hampshire voters, and tour a renewable energy contracting business.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12th, at 11:15 AM ET, Inslee will join a roundtable in Concord hosted by the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy. Governor Inslee will meet with local leaders, advocates, and parents fighting for paid family and medical leave in New Hampshire. Inslee will answer questions and share his successes passing and implementing the best paid family and medical leave program in the United States.
Inslee will then travel to Manchester to participate in a WMUR-9 televised Town Hall. Inslee will take questions from a live audience, share details of his “Climate Mission Agenda,” and connect with voters about the need for a debate on climate change after the DNC rejected calls from Inslee and environmental and progressive advocacy groups to hold a debate on the issue.
Then, at 3:30 PM ET, Inslee will tour ReVision Energy in Brentwood, and discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the expanding renewable energy sector in NH. ReVision is an employee-owned solar company that works to design, engineer, install, and service solar panels for customers and buildings of all kinds. Inslee will speak with Revision workers and management, visiting their warehouse and operation center and discussing how the federal government can be a better partner in growing and supporting clean energy solutions.
Inslee, who is the only presidential candidate who has made defeating climate change and building a clean energy economy the cornerstone of his campaign, has been making stops to speak with voters across the country as part of his “Climate Mission Tour.” He recently announced his “100% Clean Energy for America,” "Evergreen Economy," and “Global Climate Mobilization” plans, and since launching his campaign in March, has visited Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, Texas, California, Michigan, New York, Illinois, and Oregon.
