Joe Biden for President Announces Key Campaign Staff for Nevada
Today, Biden for President is announcing key staff hires for the campaign's efforts in Nevada, which will be led by Hilary Barrett, as State Director, who will oversee the day-to-day operations across the state.
"I am thrilled to be joining Vice President Biden’s campaign as State Director and I’m very excited to get to work with this incredible team,” said Barrett. “Nevada is going to play a crucial role in the Democratic nominating process and the plethora of diverse experience our new state staff brings to this campaign is going to be invaluable on our road ahead.”
Key Nevada Campaign Hires
Hilary Barrett - State Director
Hilary Barrett brings a wealth of Nevada experience to the Biden campaign, having served in multiple roles for the Nevada Democratic Party from 2015 to 2016, as the Deputy Political Director in Nevada for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, and as Director of Scheduling for Senator Catherine Cortez Masto. Hilary most recently served as the Director of Operations and Scheduling for John Chiang's campaign for governor of California, and as Campaign Manager for Joseph Kopser's targeted congressional campaign in Texas.
Jennifer Sosa - Organizing Director
Jennifer Sosa was most recently the Western Regional Field Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She previously served as the Field Director of the California Democratic Party, and as the Campaign Manager and Field Director on numerous campaigns in California.
Lucia Nunez - Deputy Organizing Director
Lucia Nunez most recently served as the Field Director for Congressman Josh Harder's targeted congressional race in California. In 2016, Lucia was a Senior Field Organizer for Rep. Ami Bera’s successful Congressional campaign in California, and previously worked as a Research Associate for Brilliant Corners Research & Strategy.
Vedant Patel - Communications Director
Vedant Patel brings extensive communications experience throughout the western United States, most recently serving as the Communications Director for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Congressman Mike Honda of California. From 2017 to 2018, Vedant served as the Director of AAPI Media and as a Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee.
Isabel Aldunate - Press Secretary
Isabel Aldunate most recently served as the Deputy National Press Secretary for United States Senator Chuck Schumer, and as the Deputy Press Secretary for Andrew Gillum's campaign for governor in Florida. Isabel has also served in communications roles with the Maryland Clean Energy Center, the Climate Action Campaign, and the American Council on Renewable Energy.
