Klobuchar to Host Meet and Greet Sunday Night, Speak at IAMAW Transportation Conference and Talk Infrastructure Investments at Local School

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Today, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will head to Nevada for the first time since announcing her candidacy for president. Tonight, Sunday, April 7, Klobuchar will kickoff her trip at a meet and greet with local voters at the Blind Center of Nevada.

On Monday, Klobuchar will start her day offering remarks to workers from across the country at the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers’ 2019 Annual Transportation Conference. Following her speech, Klobuchar will visit the J. Harold Brinley Middle School to talk about her bold plan to invest in America’s infrastructure, which includes funding for our country’s schools.

Giveaways: The first 300 people will receive a free t-shirt. Free food and drinks will also be available from 1-2pm.

Security: Metal detectors will be used at the gates and weapons of any kind will not be permitted. Prohibited items include guns, knives, laser pointers, air horns, noisemakers, large backpacks, and any other item deemed dangerous by security.

Jay Inslee to Visit New Hampshire Next Weekend
Governor Inslee will participate in a town hall with environmental and progressive organizations

Seattle – Governor Jay Inslee will visit New Hampshire next weekend. This marks Inslee’s second trip to the Granite State on his “Climate Mission Tour” since announcing his candidacy for President last month.

On Sunday, April 14th at 6:00pm, Inslee will travel to Hollis, New Hampshire, where he will participate in a town hall hosted by Hollis Democrats, Temple Democrats, New Ipswich Democrats, the Sierra Club, Rights & Democracy NH, Echo Action, 350.org, and the Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Inslee, who is the only presidential candidate who has made defeating climate change the cornerstone of his campaign, has been making stops to speak with voters across the country as part of his “Climate Mission Tour.” Since launching his campaign in March, he has visited Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Texas, California, New York, and Oregon.

Tim Ryan: Why I’m running for President

As a congressman from Youngstown, Ohio for almost 20 years, I’ve watched the American Dream slip through the fingers of many Americans.

Like so many in America’s heartland, I come from a long line of factory workers who helped build our nation into a powerhouse of innovation. But over the last 20 years, failed leadership and broken promises have destroyed the middle-class, forcing our economy into crisis and pushing the American Dream out of reach.

When our local GM factory was shutdown last Thanksgiving, I got a call from my daughter who was consoling her friend whose father was an auto worker and was just laid off. My daughter said to me, with tears in her voice, “You have to do something.”

That’s why I am running for President. It’s time to do something.

As I travel through Ohio and the country, I’ve been inspired by the solutions that exist. On every issue, from manufacturing, to health care, to schools and education, to taking care of and healing our Vets, I find brilliant Americans who are innovating and creating REAL solutions.

And our current government and leaders are in the way of these solutions being implemented on a broad scale. We must invest in and bring the solutions that are working to communities across the country.

The devastating stress and anxiety that comes with living paycheck to paycheck, not being able to afford to put food on the table or take your child to the doctor is making us sick and has fractured and divided our communities across the nation.

We have to fix it.

It’s time for us to start building the America we deserve. An America that invests in public education, affordable health care and an economy that works for all of us. An America united by a shared vision for our future.

A quiet revolution is happening in this country. One that is driven by compassion and the independent spirit our nation is known for. It’s time for us to invest in our values so we can focus on what really matters: healing and uniting our nation.

Together, we can confront the challenges ahead and win the future

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 3, 2019) – Today, the presidential campaign of former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under President Obama and San Antonio Mayor, Julián Castro, announced the details of his upcoming ‘People First’ rally in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12:00 PM PST.
