Beto O'Rourke to Make First Trip to North Carolina as Presidential Candidate on Monday, April 15, 2019
Beto O'Rourke will visit North Carolina on Monday, his first trip to the state since announcing his candidacy for President of the United States less than a month ago. His tour of the state will include events in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Chapel Hill.
The visit follows recent trips to Iowa and South Carolina where O'Rourke held over two dozen town halls and meet and greets with local residents in fifteen communities and seven college campuses, including Clemson and Iowa State Universities.
Since launching his bid for the presidency last month, O'Rourke has held events in Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, Texas, New York and the District of Columbia. On March 30, Beto officially launched his campaign with rallies in El Paso, Houston and Austin, Texas that were attended by tens of thousands of supporters in person, as well as countless voters across the nation via livestream and television. Supporters also held more than one thousand organizing watch parties across all fifty states to celebrate the official launch.
