DES MOINES, IA – Presidential candidate John Delaney will campaign in Iowa this weekend.

Delaney’s trip includes the grand opening of his Fort Dodge Campaign Office, campaigning for Democratic candidate Eric Giddens for Senate District 30, and events with Democratic County Parties in Boone, Greene, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, and Winneshiek counties.

Delaney, whose grandfather immigrated to the United States from Ireland, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a fundraiser for Winneshiek County Democrats, and headline Greene County Democrats’ Irish Potato Soup Supper.

Inslee campaign crosses fundraising milestone

Seattle - Governor Jay Inslee today announced that his 2020 presidential campaign has raised over $1 million in contributions. Inslee, who entered the race on Friday morning, made the announcement tonight during an interview on The Rachel Maddow Show.

Inslee launched his candidacy for president on Friday, saying “this is our moment” to defeat climate change. Inslee has received donations from all 50 states in his climate-focused campaign, as he builds a movement of supporters calling for climate action now.

“This is a major sign of the grassroots support behind our climate mission,” said Inslee campaign manager Aisling Kerins. “In all 50 states, Americans are calling for a president who will put climate change first on the national agenda - and that’s why they’re supporting Gov. Jay Inslee’s campaign for president.”

Inslee made a series of media appearances on Sunday and Monday, appearing on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos, ABC’s The View, and MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show.

Gov. Inslee is traveling to Iowa on Tuesday to kick off his “Climate Mission Tour.” He will be in Nevada and California later in the week.

And a mass shooting at a movie theater once again tore the heart out of our community.

I promised Colorado families that we would rebuild our communities better than before, and that just offering thoughts and prayers would never again be sufficient.

I'm John Hickenlooper. I'm running for president because we're facing a crisis that threatens everything we stand for.

As a skinny kid with Coke bottle glasses and a funny last name, I've stood up to my fair share of bullies.

Standing tall when it matters is one of the things that really drives me.

In my thirties I worked as a geologist and got laid off in a tough economy.

Being out of work for months changes you. You look in the mirror and you start to see a different person.

One day, I got a library book on how to write a business plan.

In the end, we didn't just build a restaurant, we created a whole neighborhood and never looked back

At the age of fifty, I was elected mayor.

We transformed Denver into a national model for what a city could be.

Then during my eight years as Governor, we did the hard things families needed.

With a divided legislature. We got health care coverage for nearly ninety-five percent of all Coloradans.

We lifted our rural economy as Colorado went from fortieth in job growth to the number one economy in America.

We brought environmentalists and oil and gas companies to the table to create the toughest methane emissions laws in the country.

Then we beat the NRA by enacting universal background checks and banning high capacity magazines.

I'm running for President because we need dreamers in Washington, but we also need to get things done.

I've proven again and again, I can bring people together to produce the progressive change Washington has failed to deliver.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK —Thanks to the support of thousands of people across the country, Andrew Yang set a historic new record for his presidential campaign during February. At the beginning of this campaign, political pundits referred to Andrew as a ‘longshot candidate,’ but he is now on track to meet the qualifications to participate in the first Democratic debate. With more than 70% of Yang’s monthly total for February raised by small dollar donations of under $200, Yang’s February haul is proof that his message of The Freedom Dividend ($1000/month for all Americans) is resonating with voters across the country.

February was the largest monthly total for online fundraising since the launch of Yang's presidential campaign in December 2017, and the average donation of $13.17 from over 32,000 small-dollar donors shows the grassroots support for his campaign.

"This is one of the more impressive fundraising displays in modern political history," said Yang's campaign manager, Zach Graumann. "Our so-called "long-shot" candidate raised nearly half a million dollars from small donors since Feb 12, and still many voters have not heard of Andrew Yang. DNC Announces New Staff Hires

Today the Democratic National Committee is proud to announce two new hires: Muthoni Wambu Kraal for the position of National Political and Organizing Director and Patrick Stevenson for Chief Mobilization Officer. Most recently, Muthoni served as Vice President of National Outreach and Training at EMILYs List. She previously served as the organization’s Senior Director for State Engagement and Development. Muthoni brings over 20 years of experience working for all kinds of campaigns - including as Deputy Political Director for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign in 2007.

Patrick has been promoted to Chief Mobilization Officer, a role he had been filling on an interim basis. He oversaw the DNC's grassroots fundraising in 2018, leading the program to its highest-raising year in nearly a decade. This is Patrick’s second tenure at the DNC -- he previously served as the DNC’s Email Director in the 2014 cycle. He is a veteran of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign and Barack Obama's 2012 campaign.

Last month, Brandon Gassaway joined as National Press Secretary. Brandon most recently worked as Press Secretary on Tim Kaine's senate campaign and Communications Director for former Congressional Black Caucus Chair Congressman Cedric Richmond. He is a veteran of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

Nevada State Senator and 29-Year Army Veteran Pat Spearman Endorses Kamala Harris for President

Nevada State Senator Pat Spearman endorsed Senator Kamala Harris for president Friday at a rally in Las Vegas. A 29-year veteran of the United States Army, Spearman has represented parts of North Las Vegas and neighboring jurisdictions since 2012 and currently serves as co-majority whip. In the Nevada Senate, she is known as a champion for equal pay for women, LGBTQ rights, and supporting veterans. At the time of her election, she was the first openly lesbian member of the Nevada legislature.

“This nation is ready for change. We are ready for someone who doesn’t mind standing up in the face of adversity and will not make excuses when our Constitution is trampled on,” Spearman said Friday. “We are ready for someone who will carry the banner of freedom and justice for us and honor the oath do defend this democracy against enemies foreign and domestic. We are ready for Senator Kamala Harris as President of the United States.”

Spearman appears to be the first elected official from Nevada to endorse in the Democratic presidential primary. Nevada will hold their caucus contests on Tuesday, February 23, the third state in the 2020 primary schedule.
