Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang Launches Ohio Tour on February 23-24, 2019
Upon the formation of over twenty volunteer-led “Yang Gang” chapters throughout the midwest, with four in Ohio alone, Andrew Yang hosts events in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland
February 21, 2019: In his second visit to the Buckeye State, presidential candidate Andrew Yang will build upon his mounting support in the region and meet with voters and donors across the state.
His public appearances serve to spread the word about his unique presidential vision: a solutions-based platform designed to address the current economic and technological shifts that threaten one-third of all US jobs and have already had dramatic impacts in the rust belt.
Ohio, a state once booming with industry and manufacturing, has felt serious losses over the last decade.
“All I could think about was my hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio,” Reverend Wendy Hamilton, an ordained minister living in DC, recently told a crowd of 250 people at an Andrew Yang rally in Baltimore. “And how it has been decimated by the loss of major factory jobs like much of the Midwest.”
A UBI of $1,000/month would inject approximately $100 billion back into the state’s economy – a boon that would be felt across main streets and within homes across the state.
Andrew’s visit comes on the heel of a recent surge in enthusiasm for his campaign, following his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience. Over 80 supporter-lead “Yang Gang” chapters have cropped up across the country, with four in the Buckeye State alone.
