Kamala Harris to Campaign in South Carolina on March 8 and 9, 2019
Senator Kamala Harris will return to South Carolina to campaign on March 8 and 9. On Friday, she will visit two rural counties for community meet-and-greets, where local voters and community leaders will join her for discussions about the future of the country. On Saturday, Harris will be hosted by the Dorchester County Democrats for a breakfast meet-and-greet where voters can hear Harris lay out her vision for the country and ask her questions.
Harris will also participate in the Charleston Black Expo Economic Empowerment Summit on Saturday for its 20th anniversary. There, Harris will talk about the importance of small and minority-owned businesses and meet with local community leaders.
This is Harris’s third visit to South Carolina as a presidential candidate. She previously held town halls in Charleston and Columbia, in addition to visiting several women-owned businesses, having lunch at Rodney Scott’s BBQ, and attending the Pink Ice Gala with her fellow AKAs in Columbia.
