Iowa Democratic Party Statement on President Trump's State of the Union Address

After tonight's State of the Union address, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:

"Tonight, Donald Trump delivered a winding State of the Union filled with mistruths, blatant fear-mongering and hyper-partisan talking points.

But, I took to heart when President Trump asked what we will do with this moment.

Here’s what Iowa Democrats will do:

We will continue to look at the opportunities in front of us and to fight for a better America. We will work to create world-class public schools, a healthcare system that values all Iowans, a strong middle class that respects workers and gives every Iowan a fair shot.

And we will always, always be the Party that welcomes everyone as they work towards their American Dream."
