Andrew Yang Raises $250,000 From 14,000 Donors in One Week; On Track to Make Primary Debates
Following an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Andrew launches a national grassroots fundraising movement, with an average donation of $18.46
February 20, 2019: Andrew Yang’s February 12th appearance on Joe Rogan’s live podcast came just days before the DNC’s Democratic primary debate announcement. On the heels of these developments, Andrew has launched a national grassroots movement that has seen a groundswell of support around the country.
“We have already received the requisite 200 donations from over 20 states, and we've received 1% support in a national poll,” noted Chief of Staff Matt Shinners. “And we've had over 14,000 donations come in in the past week alone.”
At the same time, “Yang Gang” chapters have cropped up across the country. With over 80 Yang Gang chapters in more than 35 states, these groups will be key to bringing in the 65,000 individual donations necessary to receive an invitation to the Democratic primary debates this summer.
