Richard Ojeda Suspends 2020 Campaign

Today I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all the people who have supported and believed in this campaign. The indications were very positive from an overwhelming response to our videos, to thousands of volunteers, and a level of grassroots fundraising support that grew every day. However, the last thing I want to do is accept money from people who are struggling for a campaign that does not have the ability to compete. So today I am announcing that I am suspending this campaign.

When I was a child my grade school teachers told us all that anyone in America could grow up and become President. I now realize that this is not the case. Unless someone has extreme wealth or holds influence and power it just isn’t true. Especially if you dare to step out of line and challenge the powers that be. The big donors won’t take your calls, the media won’t say your name, and the establishment will do everything they can to crush you.

I want you to know though that my fight does not end! I may not have the money to make the media pay attention but I will continue raising my voice and highlighting the issues the working class, the sick and the elderly face in this nation. I expect to have an announcement very soon about what my next steps will be. But know this, this campaign was never about me but about the issues we care about, checking big pharma, ending corruption and elevating the working class citizen. Nothing and no one can stop me from fighting for what’s right. Sappers clear the way. Airborne all the way.

RNC Elects New Leadership

WASHINGTON — Today, members of the Republican National Committee (RNC) unanimously voted to elect new leadership: Tommy Hicks as the RNC’s new co-chair, Ron Kaufman as treasurer, and Vicki Drummond as secretary. Hicks, Kaufman and Drummond will work with newly re-elected Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to strengthen the Republican Party ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

Tommy Hicks previously served as the national finance co-chairman for President Trump’s 2016 campaign, vice chairman of the finance committee for the presidential inauguration, and chairman of America First Action PAC and America First Policies. He replaces outgoing Co-Chair Bob Paduchik, who is joining the Donald J. Trump for President 2020 campaign.

Ron Kaufman is the RNC’s National Committeeman for Massachusetts. He has also served as chair of the RNC Budget Committee and as a senior advisor to U.S. presidents, governors, and members of Congress. He replaces outgoing Treasurer Tony Parker.

Vicki Drummond is the RNC’s National Committeewoman for Alabama. She has served as a delegate to multiple Republican National Conventions and held leadership positions with the National Federation of Republican Women. She replaces outgoing Secretary Susie Hudson.

"The RNC is thrilled to welcome its new leadership team as we look ahead to 2020," said Chairwoman McDaniel. "Tommy, Ron, and Vicki have worked hard in support of our Party and President Trump, and they will be critical to our efforts for a successful 2020 election cycle. Poised to Become Longest-Serving Woman as RNC Chair

WASHINGTON — Today, members of the Republican National Committee (RNC) re-elected Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to a second term. McDaniel, the second woman ever elected chair of the RNC, is the first woman to be elected twice to the position. By the end of her second term, she will become the longest-serving woman as RNC chair. McDaniel’s re-election vote was unanimous.

"I am deeply grateful to have the full support of the RNC members for a second term," said Chairwoman McDaniel. "We’ve accomplished so much together, and I look forward to working with the members and our newly elected leadership on another successful presidential election cycle. Over the next two years, we will build upon our historic investments to grow our Party, engage with voters, and re-elect President Trump in 2020."

About Chairwoman McDaniel

Under Chairwoman McDaniel’s leadership, the RNC raised record funds, made its largest-ever ground game investment, and defied history by gaining seats in the Senate during the 2018 election cycle. President Trump asked Chairwoman McDaniel to continue to lead the RNC through the 2020 election cycle thanks to her record of results for the Republican Party.

Previously, Chairwoman McDaniel served as the chair of the Michigan Republican Party, where she helped deliver the state for President Donald J. Trump and the Party for the first time since 1988.
