Julián Castro 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Events
SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 20, 2019) – Tomorrow, January 21, 2019, Julián Castro, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Mayor of San Antonio, will participate in the 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade in San Antonio, Texas. San Antonio hosts the largest march in the nation, with approximately 300,000 participants each year.
On January 19, 1987, the San Antonio Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and the City of San Antonio held its first official Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March. Each year, a variety of educational, inspirational and celebratory events honor one of the nation's most revered civil rights leaders.
