Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus to Attend Grassroots Event in Wisconsin

Madison, Wis. – Today the Republican Party of Wisconsin will host RNC Chairman Reince Priebus for a grassroots event at the Glendale Field Office. As part of the event, Priebus will talk with volunteers about getting out the Republican vote to achieve victory in November.

The Republican Party of Wisconsin is running 21 field offices statewide, developing the systems needed to get out the vote for Scott Walker and the Republican team.

Washington, DC—Today the DNC and the Democratic Party of Wisconsin announced the hiring of Lillian Cheesman as the Wisconsin Voter Expansion Project State Director.  Cheesman joins a growing roster of Voter Expansion Project staff in key states as part of the DNC's ongoing commitment to increasing access to electoral participation.

Cheesman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and a member of the Wisconsin Bar.  She currently serves as a Milwaukee County Election Commissioner. She is also a Statutory Committee Chair for the Milwaukee County Democratic Party and was a Voter Protection Team Volunteer for Organizing for America.

[Madison, Wis.] – This past weekend, WisGOP hosted the opening of four additional field offices across Wisconsin for its grassroots program, which now totals 21 offices statewide. With these vital offices, thousands of dedicated volunteers are mobilized and energized to give Scott Walker and Republicans the momentum needed all the way until November.

“Our Party’s reach is extending further into communities throughout Wisconsin,” said Brad Courtney, Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Each fully-staffed field office is a valuable resource, calling grassroots networks to action across Wisconsin to help deliver a resounding victory in November.”

The new field offices will play an integral role in the Republican Party’s already strong presence on the ground. Through these offices, the Party is better able to increase engagement, identify and rally supporters, and ultimately, turn out voters on Election Day. The Democratic Party of Wisconsin Names Melissa Baldauff Communications Director

MADISON -- The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today announced that Melissa Baldauff will assume the role of Communications Director, effective immediately. A member of the WisDems team since 2010, Baldauff has quickly risen through the ranks and established herself as a central member of the State Party's leadership team.

During her tenure with the State Party, Baldauff has worked extensively on research, policy, digital strategy and earned media. For the last two years, she has served as the Party’s Research and Digital Director.

"From the day she first reported to work with us, Melissa has distinguished herself as an exceptional talent with a wide array of abilities. During some of the most pressure-packed, historically significant chapters in Wisconsin's political history Melissa proved herself to be one of the best in the business when it comes to research, policy, and digital strategy," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Monday. National Governors Association: NGA announces new executive committee leadership

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN—The National Governors Association (NGA) today announced the new leadership of its Executive Committee for the 2013-2014 year.

The new NGA Chair Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and NGA Vice Chair Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will lead the nine-member Executive Committee through which the association’s priorities and activities are determined. Other members include:

[Madison, Wis.] – The Republican Party of Wisconsin announced the opening of four new field offices today, bringing the total number of offices open to eight all across the Badger State.

“Our announcement today is the next step in the unprecedented off-year investment our Party is making to ensure we continue to grow our base and share our positive message,” said Joe Fadness, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.

The new field offices announced today are located in Sheboygan, La Crosse, Milwaukee and Racine; they join the already fully running offices in Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, and Waukesha. Each office has full-time staff working around the clock to recruit volunteers, build meaningful coalitions, and drive our agenda locally.

“We are actively laying the groundwork for victory next year and beyond,” said Fadness. “Under Governor Walker we are moving Wisconsin forward, and we can’t wait to energize locally in more areas of the state to build an even stronger Party.”
