Madison, Wis. – Tonight, Wisconsin voters chose to continue moving Wisconsin forward with Governor Scott Walker.

After Walker’s victory was declared, Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Brad Courtney released the following statement: “Tonight, Wisconsin voters rewarded Scott Walker for his bold, common-sense reforms and strong leadership that have put Wisconsin back on the right track. Over the last four years, Governor Walker has made our state a better place to live, work, and raise our families through his pro-growth agenda – and tonight’s strong victory ensures that we will continue the Wisconsin Comeback. Tonight’s win is a victory for every Wisconsinite, and we look forward to Governor Walker’s second term and the prosperity that it will bring to the Badger State.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Governor Scott Walker’s re-election victory in Wisconsin:

“For the third time in four years, Wisconsin voters have rewarded bold leadership and the real results it yields; the state will continue to move forward under Governor Scott Walker,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Governor Walker is a doer; a true public servant who steps up to the plate, takes on the tough issues, and makes the hard decisions. He has done the things a good governor should do, and he will continue to take Wisconsin in the right direction in his second term. The Republican Governors Association was a strong partner in Governor Walker’s re-election victory, spending over $8 million with our partners on paid media. The RGA ran six television ads in Wisconsin detailing Democrat Mary Burke’s record of raising taxes, wasteful spending, and lost jobs during her time in the failed Doyle administration; and why Burke was unfit to lead after it was revealed she plagiarized her campaign’s jobs plan.

RGA Congratulates Iowa Governor Terry Branstad On His Re-Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Governor Terry Branstad’s victory in Iowa:

“Just as he has throughout his time in the statehouse, Governor Terry Branstad demonstrated in this race that he is a true reformer who cares deeply about Iowa, its people and its future,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Governor Branstad convincingly secured a historic sixth term for a reason: his leadership works. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor Branstad on his re-election.”

The Republican Governors Association was a key investor in Governor Branstad’s re-election victory, investing $2.3 million in paid media and direct contributions. The RGA ran four television ads in Iowa detailing Democrat Jack Hatch’s failure to release his tax returns or support property rights for Iowans.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Announces Intention to Host GOP Presidential Debate in 2015

REAGAN FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES INTENTION TO HOST GOP PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE IN 2015

Simi Valley, CA – The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation announced today that potential GOP presidential candidates will be invited to participate in a televised debate at the Reagan Library on September 16, 2015.

“Ronnie would be so pleased to know that his presidential library continues to attract America’s leaders to discuss the future of the country he loved so dearly,” said former First Lady Nancy Reagan. “While the candidates are still considering whether or not they will seek America’s highest office, we are less than a year away from presidential debates that will start the national conversation on important issues. I can’t think of a better way to honor my husband than to keep the tradition of Reagan Library-hosted debates alive.”

In the shadow of Ronald Reagan’s Air Force One, the Reagan Foundation hosted the first and last GOP debates during the 2007-2008 campaign season. The Foundation also organized the first debate that occurred with all of the GOP candidates during the 2011-2012 campaign.

“This marks the third presidential election cycle where the Reagan Foundation has held a Republican presidential debate,” said John Heubusch, Executive Director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. “The Reagan Foundation continues to remain at the forefront of our country’s democratic process, just as President Reagan would have wanted it.”

Rick Santorum Returns to Iowa for GOTV Efforts Saturday

VERONA, PA - Winner of the 2012 Iowa Republican presidential caucus, former U.S. Senator, and Chairman of Patriot Voices Rick Santorum will return to Iowa on Saturday, November 1 for get-out-the-vote events in support of the Iowa Republican ticket.

Senator Santorum's travel will take him to the Cedar Falls/Waterloo-area of Iowa where he is directing get-out-the-vote door-to-door efforts for his organization Patriot Voices. This weekend, Patriot Voices supporters will be going door-to-door in communities in Iowa's first and fourth congressional districts.
