Senator Marco Rubio to Headline 2015 Prescott Bush Awards Dinner
HARTFORD—Chairman Jerry Labriola Jr. today announced that Florida Senator Marco Rubio will be the keynote speaker at the 37th Annual Prescott Bush Awards Dinner to be held on Thursday, June 4th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stamford.
“I’m thrilled to have Senator Rubio as the keynote speaker for our annual state party dinner” said Labriola. “Senator Rubio is a dynamic leader with a record of accomplishment, and is an articulate advocate for free market, limited government policies. He is one of the Republican Party’s leading contenders for the White House in 2016, and we are honored to have him headline our event.”
“I believe Senator Rubio’s message about building a new American century will resonate with Connecticut residents, especially as we watch Governor Malloy lose interest in Connecticut’s future. Senator Rubio’s optimistic and positive vision for America stands in stark contrast to Barack Obama’s six long years of government overreach and policies which have weakened America both militarily and economically,” added Labriola.
Marco Rubio has served as the US Senator from Florida since 2010 and prior to that he served as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. He announced his candidacy for President of the United States on April 13, 2015.
The Prescott Bush Awards Dinner is the Connecticut Republican Party’s largest annual event and has featured some of our party’s most prominent national leaders over the years.
