Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine Raised More Than $100 Million for HFA and the Democratic Party

Today, Hillary for America (HFA), the Hillary Victory Fund (HVF) and the Hillary Action Fund (HAF) are filing their pre-general FEC reports covering October 1st to October 19th. The three reports show that Hillary Clinton and Senator Tim Kaine raised $101 million and began the final weeks of the campaign with more than $153 million on hand.

HFA received more than 1.1 million donations from more than 774,000 people with an average donation of just $50. More than 2.8 million people have now donated the campaign.

“Thanks to the support of more than 2.8 million Americans, we are able to close out the final days of this campaign by running an unprecedented coordinated campaign to mobilize voters who will help elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot," said Hillary for America Campaign Manager Robby Mook. "As the race inevitably tightens as we near election day, the organization on the ground in battleground states will be critical to staving off complacency and ensuring that we get all of our supporters to the polls."

Mook shared this important message to voters about the urgency of the race in the closing days of the election in a new video released this morning.

HFA raised about $18 million during this period in contributions of $200 or less (unitemized directly raised to HFA and unitemized allocations from HVF), and more than 60 percent of the campaign’s contributions for the month were from women.  

Hillary for America is also continuing the tradition of transparency she started in 2008 and is voluntarily publishing a list of her top volunteer fundraisers, found here on her website.

The breakdown of the numbers is as follows:

Pre-general HFA Raised:

• Direct contributions to Hillary for America: $28,073,603.76

• Allocated contributions through HVF: $28,934,978.81 (allocated prior to HVF expenses)*

• Allocated contributions through HAF: $191,827.98 (allocated prior to HAF expenses)*

• Total HFA contributions: $57,200,410.55

Pre-General HFA Disbursements:

• Direct HFA disbursements: $49,634,078.62

• HFA’s allocated share of HVF disbursements: $4,434,978.81

• HFA's allocated share of HAF disbursements: -$8,172.02

• Total HFA disbursements: $54,060,885.41

Hillary for America Launches New Ads Making Closing Argument

Hillary for America is starting its final series of ads laying out the closing argument for this campaign about what kind of country we are and the future we want for our kids.

The first ad features Hillary Clinton discussing her agenda if she's elected president – and that her focus will remain on what's driven her throughout her life: kids and families.

Families First Transcript:

HILLARY CLINTON: "Far too many families don't earn what they need and don't have the opportunities they deserve. I believe families deserve quality education for their kids, childcare they can trust and afford, equal pay for women and jobs they can really live on.

People ask me, "What will be different" if I'm president? Well, kids and families have been the passion of my life and they will be the heart of my presidency.”

The second ad, narrated by Morgan Freeman, echoes what Hillary has been saying on the campaign trail in the last few weeks and takes an uplifting tone to lay out the key contrasts between Clinton and Donald Trump. In the ad, voters see this election through the eyes of children and lays out the choice that voters face this election: “who will we entrust our country and their future to.” The ad asks voters to make the right choice for their children between a candidate who is a respected, knowledgeable, steady, unifier dedicated to children and families versus a dangerous, unprepared, reckless and divisive candidate who is only it in for himself.

On the heels of Trump being denounced by national security leaders for rooting against the counter-ISIS operation underway in Mosul, Hillary for America is airing a new testimonial ad featuring Retired Marine General John Allen making clear that Hillary Clinton is the only candidate with the knowledge and steadiness to defeat our enemies and keep us safe. In the ad, Allen points to Donald Trump’s “complete ignorance” of what it will take to defeat ISIS and highlights how Hillary Clinton “really understands the threat” and “understands how to wield American power to defeat this threat and ultimately keep us safe.”

Allen, who retired as a 4-star General after 37 years in uniform, was Deputy Commander of U.S. Central Command and a former Commander of the International Security Assistance Force, overseeing NATO troops in Afghanistan. He served both President Bush and President Obama.
