Statement from DFL Chair Ken Martin on tonight's debate

Tonight was Hillary Clinton’s strongest debate performance yet.  She talked about the kind of country we should be and stayed focused on economic solutions and how we are going to invest in our people and businesses, but also was steadfast in holding Donald Trump accountable for his divisive policies and statements.
 
The fact that Donald Trump declared he would not accept the outcome of this election until he knows the results is frankly terrifying and should alarm each and every one of us. Trump proved in that one statement that he is unqualified to be president and is a clear danger to our democracy. Every Republican in Minnesota and across the country should repudiate Trump's reckless attack against our democratic process.

How anyone running for elected office can support someone who rejects the most fundamental cornerstone of our democracy is beyond me, and that should disqualify them as well.
