Minnesota Voices React to Donald Trump’s Debate Victory
St. Paul, MN – Today the Minnesota Trump-Pence campaign released the following statements reacting to Donald Trump’s victory in tonight’s Presidential Debate held at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
“We saw tonight only one candidate has the leadership, skills and experience necessary to be a great Commander in Chief -- Donald Trump. Trump showed tonight why so many Minnesotans are leaning his way heading into the final stretch of the campaign – he is right on the issues. From our stagnant economy and broken trade policies to unaffordable health care and an embarrassing Veterans Affairs department in need of desperate repair, we absolutely need a change agent in Washington. I stand strong with Donald Trump and hope voters will join me in examining the very important, core issues at hand this election.” – State Sen. Carrie Ruud (R-Breezy Point).
“As we get closer to this pivotal election that will determine the future of our nation, voters are tired of the corruption and insider dealings from Hillary Clinton and recognize she is unqualified to lead our country, period. Tonight, we saw a deep contrast between a proven business leader who wants to improve our economy and bring change to Washington on one hand, and on the other hand, a corrupt career politician who wants to defend the status quo. With early voting now underway in the state, Minnesotans looking to put an end to “business as usual” in Washington can lock in their vote this week and Make America Great Again.” – Andy Post, Minnesota State Director, Donald J. Trump for President
