Jill Stein Visits Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday, October 26, 2016
IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT:
YahNé Ndgo, a surrogate of the Stein/Baraka campaign - will be speaking at the Jill Stein Rally at Macalester College tomorrow along with FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley, Minneapolis Councilmember Cam Gordon, and Black Lives Saint Paul activist Trahern Crews.
Dr. Stein will now be unable to attend the rally in Saint Paul in person due to medical reasons so YahNé will be filling in for her along with a video address from Dr. Stein.
Dr. Stein has been on the campaign trail since February 2015, the longest of any presidential candidate, and an asthma flare had been triggered in September during a stay in a hotel room with a poor quality ventilation system. She was hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia last week at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX. Despite her illness, Dr. Stein participated in the final presidential debate via livestream last Wednesday, October 19th, from her hospital room, and reached over 3.5 million viewers.
Per doctor’s orders, Dr. Stein is recovering in her home city of Boston this week and undergoing further treatment and tests.
Tomorrow's event will continue as planned with doors open to the public at 7pm and speeches starting at 7:30pm.
Attendance at this event is expected to exceed Stein's previous visit and seats are first come, first serve so plan accordingly. We are working on accommodations for an overflow room outside the lecture hall.
We all wish Jill a speedy recovery - make sure we have a strong turn out to show her we're going to stand with her and get out the vote!
PLEASE NOTE: due to a case of pneumonia Jill Stein is no longer able to travel at this time. The event will go forward as planned with campaign spokesperson YahNé Ndgo!
