Statement from DFL Chairman Ken Martin on Sen. Sanders Endorsement of Sec. Clinton
“As Republicans continue to pull themselves apart at the seams, at the very notion of a President Donald Trump, democrats are uniting behind Sec. Hillary Clinton.
“Today, at a rally in New Hampshire, Sen. Bernie Sanders joined the party and endorsed Sec. Clinton to be the next President of the United States. Thanks to Sen. Sanders, many new voices were brought into the party and my sincerest hope is that these supporters continue to engage in party affairs and unite with Democrats across the country to elect Sec. Hillary Clinton as our next president.

Sanders’ progressive campaign message of ending economic inequality and building an economy that works for everyone, not just a wealthy few, energized millions of Americans and positively influenced one of the most progressive platforms the Democratic Party has ever seen.
