Governor Mark Dayton: Hillary Clinton Will Build an Economy for All Americans
Minneapolis -- Following Hillary Clinton's speech in Raleigh today where she laid out the clear choice facing voters in this election, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton released the following statement:
"As President, Hillary Clinton will fight every day to build an economy that works for all Americans, not just the wealthy few. Unlike Donald Trump -- whose dangerous economic policies would make the rich richer at the expense of everyone else -- Hillary Clinton's policies would create good-paying jobs and improve economic security for millions of American families."
Clinton's economic speeches arrive on the heels of the release of two new independent reports that corroborate the fact that Donald Trump is unfit to manage the U.S. economy. A Moody's report found that Trump's plans would lead to an "unusually lengthy recession," cost close to 3.5 million American jobs, and explode the debt by more than $10 trillion. A report by CAP Action found that Trump's risky agenda could increase interest rates, costing the average homeowner up to $100,000 in lost wealth and the U.S. economy more than 3 million jobs.
