
Bernie Sanders to Visit Northern California on Wednesday, May 18, 2016
BURLINGTON, Vt. -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Wednesday will travel to Northern California. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will host rallies in San Jose and Vallejo. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

Doors Open at 10 a.m. A Future to Believe In San Jose Rally, Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road, San Jose
Information for the public: This event is free and open to public but an RSVP is strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served. General admission entrance can be found through Gate F off of Umbarger Road between Senter Street and Monterey Road. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Limited paid parking available in lots accessible via Gate F off of Umbarger Road between Senter Street and Monterey Road. Parking is $10 and can only be paid in cash. Public transportation information: Santa Clara County Fairgrounds Stop on Bus Line #26, Monterey and Curtner on Bus Line #68. Carpooling and public transportation is highly encouraged.

For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Limited parking available in lots in the surrounding area. Public transportation information: Ferry station and SolTrans Vallejo Transit Center hub serving lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 78, 80, and 85. Carpooling and public transportation is highly encouraged.
