
Bernie Sanders to Visit Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 *Updated
NEW YORK -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday will travel to Pennsylvania. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will host rallies in Erie and University Park. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

Information for the public: This event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served. Main convention center entrance. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Limited free parking available on-site. Parking for a fee is available at the Sheraton garage next to the convention center. Use the complimentary trolley service to the convention center from Liberty Park at Lawrence Pier.

Nittany Parking Deck has ADA parking and elevator access at the northwest and southeast corners of the facility. No general visitor parking on site. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, and use the CATA. If you are attending by vehicle, please park in Lot 44 or Stadium West and use the no-fare CATA Loop or Link transit services to travel to and from the Recreation Hall.
