Statement from DFL Chairman Ken Martin on Minnesota Precinct Caucuses
“March 1 was truly Super Tuesday in Minnesota. With more than 15,000 volunteers at 4,100 precinct caucus sites, we ensured the night went smoothly for the thousands of people attending their DFL precinct caucuses.
“No matter which precinct caucus they attended, I would like to thank everyone who came out and made their voice heard at their precinct caucus. The more people who get involved, the stronger our state will be. There was great energy tonight, and we plan to build on that excitement and get even more people involved in the political process in the coming months.
“While Sen. Bernie Sanders carried Minnesota, at the end of the day we are all DFLers and we are committed to electing the next Democratic president. Republican candidates for president are focusing on failed economic policies of the past. Americans can count on the Democratic-endorsed candidate for president to focus on the future and building an economy that works for all, not just a few.”
