With Addition of Bronze Star Recipient Hayes Dent, Gov. John Kasich Has Chairmen for All Four Mississippi Congressional Districts
Today Kasich for America announced that it has recruited a congressional district chairman for each of Mississippi's four congressional districts ahead of the state's Republican primary on March 8, 2016.
Hayes Dent, a Bronze Star Recipient from Yazoo City, has recently agreed to lead Governor Kasich's efforts in the 2nd Congressional District of Mississippi, MS-2. He joins US Air Force Major Geoffrey Yoste, (ret.), who chairs the 1st Congressional District; State Senator Josh Harkins of Rankin County, who chairs the 3rd Congressional District; and Harrison County GOP Chairman Frank Genzer, who chairs the 4th Congressional District for Gov. John Kasich in Mississippi.
Said Hayes, "John Kasich is the right blend of principled conservatism and pragmatic problem-solving. He's proven his ability to get things done by balancing the federal budget in Washington and bringing jobs back to Ohio, while at the same time working to bring more people to the table."
In the first two days after transferring his support from Governor Chris Christie to Governor Kasich, Hayes had already recruited six county chairmen: Nat McMullen for Coahoma County, Chip Estes for a portion of Madison County, John Cox in Bolivar County, Webster Franklin in Tunica County, former Assistant District Attorney Lane Campbell in Warren County and Thomas Wetzel for Yazoo County.
Said Kasich, "We have some real movers and shakers on our team in Missisippi, that's for sure. As our congressional distict chairmen, Hayes Dent, Geoffrey Yoste, Josh Harkins and Frank Genzer bring political depth and expertise that will help grow our ground game exponentially in these final weeks before the primary election."
